State Bank of Pakistan Announces Multiple Job Opportunities in Pakistan

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the nation’s central bank, has unveiled a fantastic job opportunity for talented and energetic individuals to join its team as Assistant Directors (OG-2) under the IT Officers Training Scheme. Eligibility Criteria:

  • Education: Applicants should possess a Master’s, Bachelor’s, or equivalent degree with at least 16 years of education. A minimum of 60% marks (or a GPA of 2.5 out of 4.0 or 3.5 out of 5.0 for GPAs) is required. Degrees should be in disciplines such as Computer Sciences, Information Systems and Technology, Data Sciences, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related IT fields. For foreign degrees, an equivalence certificate from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) is mandatory.
  • Age: The maximum age limit is 26 years as of the date of the newspaper advertisement (October 15, 2023). There are relaxations available for various categories, such as female candidates, transgender individuals, candidates from minority groups, and those from specific regions.
  • Experience: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. However, preference may be given to candidates with up to one year of experience in relevant fields.

Application and Testing Procedure:

  • Interested Pakistani citizens, including those from Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, who meet the eligibility criteria, can submit their applications through the National Testing Service (NTS) website (https://www.nts.org.pk). The application link will be active starting October 15, 2023.
  • Applications should include the necessary information and details, such as a photograph, date of birth, and other essential information. Incomplete or non-compliant applications will not be considered.
  • The deadline for submitting applications is October 30, 2023. In-person or email submissions will not be entertained.
  • NTS will communicate with shortlisted candidates through SMS and provide admit cards for the written test, which will be held at designated test centers.
  • After the written test, qualified candidates will proceed to the next phases of the selection process, including group discussions, psychometric testing, and panel interviews.

Selection Procedure:

  • Candidates who meet the criteria will be invited for further selection, including group discussions, psychometric testing, and panel interviews. These candidates should bring printed copies of their completed application forms, attested copies of educational/professional documents, an Equivalence Certificate from HEC (if applicable), proof of NTS fee payment, domicile, CNIC, and passport-sized photographs.
  • Candidates who provide false information or attempt to influence the recruitment process will be disqualified.
  • Selection will be made in accordance with the prescribed provincial/regional quota provisions by the Government of Pakistan.

Pre-Induction Training:

  • Successful candidates will undergo intensive training, including medical and psychological examinations and validation of educational documents, before being offered appointments as Assistant Directors (OG-2) at SBP.

Compensation Package:

  • Upon completing their training, successful candidates will start as Assistant Directors (OG-2) with a monthly salary starting at Rs. 120,000 or commensurate with the current emoluments of successful candidates. Additional benefits and salary scale will be as per bank rules. During the training period, trainees will receive a monthly stipend equivalent to half their salary.
