State Bank Will not Issue New Currency Notes for Eid ul Fitr

Every year during Eid, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) issues billions of new currency notes. A representative for the central bank talk to the local news media that this time, no new currency notes will be issued for the general people.

Before Eid ul Fitr, there is an increasing demand for crisp, new currency notes in various amounts for Eidi. People are looking for ways to obtain new currency notes to give to children as part of Eidi.

The traditional financial presents known as “Eidi” are what at least in children’s perspective to make the Eid ul Fitr a greater and sweeter affair than the Eid ul Adha.

While the public anticipates that Eid ul Fitr would occur on April 21, Secretary General of the Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council Khalid Aijaz has ruled out the notion, stating that the moon will not be visible on April 20.

On April 20, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee (RHC) will convene to discuss the Shawwal moon sighting, which will officially mark the conclusion of the Holy Month of Ramadan. However, Khalid Aijaz, the secretary general of the Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council, has ruled out the prospect of a moon sighting on April 20. Eid-ul-Fitr is anticipated to fall on April 22nd of this year.
