Students of NED University Built Second Formula Electric Sports Car of Pakistan

According to sources, students from NED University of Engineering & Technology built Pakistan’s second Formula Electric Sports car at a cost of about Rs3.5 million.

One of the students, while explaining the development, claimed that it had been a dream of his engineering department seniors to build Pakistan’s second Formula Electric Sports car, the first of which was made by NUST.

The car has a peak speed of 120 kilometers per hour and an average speed of 60 to 70 kilometers per hour. The car was built at a cost of about Rs3.5 million, and it was completed despite problems with battery backup and motors.

Due to pandemics, the students practically competed in the Formula SAE 2020 competition in Australia, where their invention placed sixth.
