Begum Nusrat Bhutto Sukkur Airport will soon start international flights, following an important meeting held by the Pakistan Aviation Authority (PAA).
Officials, including Abbas Sheikh, the Planning and Development Director of PAA, met with representatives from the Sukkur Chamber of Commerce to discuss plans for expanding the airport. As part of this expansion, approval has been given to start two weekly flights between Sukkur and Jeddah, beginning in July.
In addition to launching these international flights, there are also plans to develop cargo terminals and expand runways. These improvements will help make it easier to export goods such as dates, cotton, and rice directly from Sukkur, rather than relying on other cities. This expansion is expected to boost trade, create new business opportunities, and improve connectivity for the region.
By upgrading the airport and introducing international flights, authorities aim to make Sukkur a more important hub for both travel and trade, benefiting businesses and travelers alike.
