Capital Smart Motors has officially launched the JMEV EV3 in Pakistan, entering the small electric car segment. The car was first introduced at the Pakistan Auto Show last year and is now available for local buyers looking for a budget-friendly electric option.
The EV3 comes in two variants, with an introductory price starting at Rs. 4,899,000, while the higher variant is priced at Rs. 4,999,999. Bookings are expected to begin in April 2026 with a booking amount of Rs. 490,000. Deliveries are planned for July 2026, creating a gap of around three months between booking and delivery.
This launch is important as Pakistan is slowly shifting toward electric vehicles due to rising fuel prices and environmental concerns. Small electric cars like the EV3 are designed for city use, offering lower running costs compared to petrol vehicles.
It is also being seen as a competitor to popular hatchbacks like the Suzuki Cultus, which has long dominated the local market.
