Team MJ Steals the Show at Oxford University MUN 2024

“In my first conference at the United Nations Headquarters, New York; through rigorous practice in his classroom, Sir Murtaza had abundantly trained me. I was confident in my skill for debate, lobbying, and creating unique resolutions,” shared Aaryan Ali Khan. “While the first conference was indeed challenging, this conference at Oxford University’s level of difficulty was at a different level altogether. The diplomacy of the delegates here took me by surprise. However, I have been trained at Team MJ to stay put at my performance and focus on the goal, and so I was successful in achieving it. The recipe to win this conference, I believe, was to stay engaged and make our presence known to the chairs and the delegates through persistent cross-questioning.”

“My passion for debates developed when I learned how to think critically, and respond to questions posed by the opponent. After a long stretch and continuous practice, I became confident enough to take the lead and manage blocs independently. I believe that my strong, impactful speeches helped me win at the Oxford MUN 2024,” stated Mobin Fayzan.

Since the reputation of Pakistan is at stake at international conferences, especially at Ivy League universities, Mr. Murtaza Jafry ensures the ambassadors return back home victorious.

“Of course, I am driven by passion to ensure the thinking abilities of the upcoming generations are anything but atypical,” confesses Mr. Murtaza Jafry. “During our preparatory sessions, not only do I train them for their conferences, but I also inculcate essential values, and a positive and critical mindset. “I also believe I carry the respect of my country along with me, and so I strive to create a better reputation for Pakistan at international forums. I believe our out-dated education system has created a block in the thinking capabilities of the youth due to which they are unable to comprehend the severity of current affairs, and what we need to do about it. The youth requires the right kind of guidance and mentorship, and I am hopeful to see a change in the future generations to come.”

For the upcoming year 2025, Team MJ aims to participate yet again at Yale, Oxford, the UN Headquarters, and many other prestigious conferences hosted by Ivy League Universities.
