Temperature Likely to Drop to Single Digit in Coming Days in Karachi

Karachi’s temperature dropped to 10°C on Wednesday, marking a further decrease in the minimum temperature. The Meteorological Office reported a decline in mercury levels, leading to colder nights and mornings in the port city. At present, the temperature in the city is recorded at 12°C.

According to the Met Office, dry weather with colder nights is expected in the next 24 hours, and the maximum temperature is predicted to range between 24 to 26°C. The morning’s humidity level was noted at 63 percent.

Karachi is anticipated to experience single-digit temperatures in the coming days. The weather forecast for the majority of the upper parts of the country suggests predominantly cold and cloudy conditions. Northern parts and north Balochistan are expected to face very cold conditions over the next 12 hours. Additionally, dense fog and smog are likely to persist in the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh.

In terms of temperatures recorded in other major cities this morning, Islamabad and Peshawar registered at two °C, Lahore at five, Quetta at minus-two °C, Gilgit at minus-four degrees, Murree at one degree, and Muzaffarabad at three degrees Celsius.

This weather update indicates a notable drop in temperatures across various regions, with Karachi experiencing colder weather than usual. The Met Office’s forecast highlights the continuation of chilly conditions and alerts residents to be prepared for the possibility of single-digit temperatures in the upcoming days. Additionally, the persistence of fog and smog in certain areas emphasizes the need for caution and preparedness during this period of cooler weather.
