ISLAMABAD – Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir and the country’s spy chief called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the federal capital.
PM Sharif praised the Pakistan Army’s readiness and professionalism.
According to media sources, Gen. Asim briefed the PM on professional topics and discussed the border and internal security situation with him.
The Prime Minister’s Office or Army’s media wing kept quiet about the meeting in spite of media reports.
Nadeem Anjum, Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), was also present at the meeting and provided the premier with an update on the situation.
