A story of unwavering faith and determination has captured the hearts of people across the Muslim world, as a Libyan citizen, Amer Al-Mahdi Mansour Al-Gaddafi, experienced a series of extraordinary events that ultimately led to his successful journey to Hajj this year.
According to Arab media reports, Amer, a young man from Libya, had set his heart on performing Hajj in 2025. With great enthusiasm, he arrived at the Libyan airport, fully prepared to embark on the spiritual pilgrimage of a lifetime. However, his journey quickly took an unexpected turn.
At the airport, Amer faced difficulty at the immigration counter. Security officials halted his boarding process due to his surname “Al-Gaddafi,” citing potential security concerns. While authorities reviewed his case, Amer helplessly watched as the rest of his group boarded the plane and departed. Despite his best efforts, the boarding gates were eventually closed, and Amer was left behind.
Disheartened but not defeated, Amer displayed remarkable faith. “I will not leave this airport until I am on my way to Hajj, InshaAllah,” he declared.
Then came the first miracle.
News soon broke that the very plane Amer’s group had boarded encountered a technical fault and had to return to the airport for repairs. As the plane was being checked, the crew suggested that Amer be allowed to board this time. However, the pilot refused once again.
Still, Amer did not give up. He remained at the airport, calm and steadfast in his belief that Allah would make a way.
A short while later, a second miracle occurred. The same aircraft, after another attempt to take off, developed another fault mid-air and was forced to return once more. Upon the plane’s return, this time the pilot’s heart changed. After learning of Amer’s perseverance and the repeated technical failures, the pilot reportedly made a powerful announcement:
“I swear, this aircraft will not take off again unless Amer Al-Gaddafi is on board.”
Moved by this declaration, the authorities quickly cleared Amer for travel. Finally, on the third attempt, with Amer on board, the aircraft departed successfully—without any further issues.
This heartwarming story has become a powerful reminder of the strength of faith and the miracles that can unfold when one remains patient and trusts in divine will. Amer Al-Gaddafi’s journey is now being hailed as a testament to resilience and belief, inspiring many across the globe during this sacred Hajj season.
