Originating in Denmark, the Human Library is a special place where people come together to share their life stories in 30-minute chats with “readers.”
This library can be found in 80 different countries and serves as a safe space for talking about topics that are often considered taboo. It’s a place where societal barriers are broken down, allowing visitors to have open and honest conversations.
At the Human Library, visitors can interact with a variety of “living books” who cover a wide range of topics. These topics can include things like retirement, mental health, and experiences with trauma. Through these conversations, people can develop empathy and gain a better understanding of each other.
