Recently, hackers have taken more than Rs. 5.8 million in cash from an ATM at a National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) branch in Pindi Bhattian, Punjab’s Hafizabad district.
As per details, the cybercriminals utilized a device to hack the ATM tray containing banknotes with a denomination of Rs. 5,000 and then removed the entire tray with them.
However, it was too late, and the thieves were able to depart the scene before the guards arrived at the ATM.
The ATM has been sealed and a report has been filed at the concerned police station against anonymous cybercriminals who hacked the ATM and stole Rs. 5.8 million in cash, according to the management.
