‘Threads’ Sets Record to Reach 10 Million Users in Just 7 Hours

Within just one day of its launch, Meta’s new social media platform, Threads, has attracted a remarkable 10 million users, as confirmed by CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Threads, positioned as a competitor to Twitter, has gained rapid popularity since its release.

Mark Zuckerberg shared the impressive milestone on his official Threads account, stating, “10 million sign-ups in seven hours.”
Threads, a text-based platform by Meta, is designed as an Instagram version focused on real-time updates and public conversations.

The app is now available for download on Apple and Google Android app stores in over 100 countries, including the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and Japan. Screenshots shared with the media indicate that Threads aims to provide users with a microblogging experience similar to Twitter, directly challenging the platform.

The app offers various interactive buttons for actions like liking, reposting, replying, and quoting threads. It also includes counters to track the number of likes and replies received by each post.
