According to local media reports, three hotels in the hill station were closed after social media users complained about overcharging during the blizzard, but police refused to reveal the properties’ identities.
On Monday, a case was filed at the Murree district police station under sections 341, 427 of the Pakistan Penal Code against identifiable people of the hill area for intentionally pouring snow on the roadways.
