The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has released the results of its most recent exams, which were conducted in March, and three Pakistani students are among the prizewinners.
From March 2021, here are Pakistan’s ACCA global prizewinners:
Kahaf Moid:
Kahaf Moid of Karachi scored the highest score in Audit and Assurance, demonstrating that women are Pakistan’s bright future. Kahaf’s father works as a telecom engineer in Dubai, and she lives with her mother in Pakistan. Kahaf stated,
My mother was unable to pursue her education after matriculation, but she is doing everything she can to help her daughter reach her full potential and become a source of family pride.
Fakiha Maqsood:
Fakiha Maqsood of Faisalabad was the global winner, with the highest score in Advanced Taxation. In the Strategic Business Reporting test, she scored the highest marks of any student in Pakistan. Fakiha said,
My father is also a talented accountant, and it was because of his honesty, discipline, and calm demeanour that I decided to pursue accountancy as a career. Since I studied in the United Kingdom, I was aware of the ACCA’s global recognition and the many opportunities it provides. That is why, soon after returning to Pakistan, I enrolled in the ACCA.
Ali Shan:
Ali Shan, a Karachi native, scored the highest score in the Financial Reporting review. He said,
Numbers have always intrigued me, and I enjoy being analytical. As a result, accounting was an obvious choice for me. I want to change the way companies function in the world, and I’d like to do so by fostering workplace creativity and ethics. We’ve fallen behind as a nation because we’ve unintentionally normalized unethical activities and discouraged innovative ways of doing things. I will be a catalyst for progress in the private sector, using my ACCA skills.
