Three new airlines have applied for permission to operate from Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Two airlines, Q-Airlines and Fly Jinnah, have completed their audits, while Jet Green Airlines is still in the process.
Following review, the applications would be sent to the Aviation Division, which would then send them to the federal cabinet for final approval. Following the approval of the three carriers, there will be six private carriers operating in the country, serving a population of 217 million people.
The three airlines that currently operate in the country are Airblue, SereneAir, and AirSial. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the country’s biggest and oldest airline, is the country’s national carrier.
