Tickets for the 2022 T20 World Cup Group stage match between India and Pakistan at the legendary Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on October 23 were sold out in less than five hours, as expected.
According to reports, the MCG has a seating capacity of roughly 1 lakh, making it one of the world’s largest stadiums. The tickets went on sale at 6:00 p.m. (PST) on Monday, and by 11:00 a.m., the ICC had announced that the ‘public ticket allocation’ for India vs. Pakistan had been ‘exhausted.’ There would be no more tickets available for the India vs. Pakistan match.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, “almost 60,000 pre-sale tickets for the India vs. Pakistan group match at the MCG on October 23 have been sold.”
