Trump “k!lls” Iran’s Gulf De-escalation Gesture, Ir@nian FM

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that recent actions by the United States have ended Iran’s proposal to lower tensions in the Gulf region.

According to him, the situation escalated after Washington reportedly used military bases in the region to carry out strikes against Iranian targets.

Araghchi explained that Iran had earlier shown a willingness to reduce tensions. President Masoud Pezeshkian had indicated that Iran would avoid further escalation if neighboring countries ensured that their land or airspace was not used for attacks against Iran. The proposal was seen as an attempt to prevent the conflict from spreading across the region.

However, Araghchi said that recent developments have weakened those efforts. He warned that if the situation continues to escalate, responsibility would fall on the US administration. His comments reflect growing frustration within Iran over the rising tensions and the risk of a wider conflict in the Gulf.

The remarks came at a time when reports of new attacks in the region have surfaced. One of the incidents involved damage to a water desalination facility located on Qeshm Island, which is an important source of fresh water in southern Iran.

The damage to such infrastructure has raised concerns about the impact of ongoing hostilities on essential services and civilian life.

The situation in the Gulf remains tense as international observers closely monitor developments. Many experts believe that diplomatic dialogue and restraint from all sides will be necessary to prevent further escalation and maintain stability in the region.
