Turkey’s First Lady, Emine Erdogan, visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in the UAE. Joining her was Director-General of Dubai’s Community Development Authority. The tour focused on the mosque’s message of tolerance and openness, following the vision of the late UAE Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed.
Emine Erdogan and her delegation explored the mosque’s halls and corridors, learning about its history and the captivating features of Islamic art and architecture displayed throughout the grand edifice.
The visit concluded with Emine Erdogan receiving a publication titled “Spaces of Light,” showcasing winning photographs from the annual “Spaces of Light” photography award by the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre. This award celebrates the mosque’s scenic aesthetics and visual culture.
