The United Arab Emirates government has honoured two Pakistani brothers for their outstanding contribution to society during the holy month of Ramadan. The brothers, Zafar and Irfan, distributed over 16,000 free Iftar meals to needy people in Dubai and Sharjah.
The brothers’ restaurant started the initiative, which specializes in Pakistani cuisine. During the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic, the brothers gave back to their community by providing free meals to those struggling to make ends meet.
The initiative quickly gained popularity, and the brothers soon found themselves serving hundreds of people every day.
Their generosity was noticed, and the UAE government saw their efforts. The government recently honoured Zafar and Irfan for their contribution to society. The UAE authorities presented the brothers with a certificate of appreciation and a medal of honour.
Speaking to the media, Zafar expressed his gratitude for the recognition, saying that he and his brother were motivated by the teachings of Islam, which emphasize the importance of helping those in need. He also thanked the UAE government for the support and encouragement they had received.
