UAE opened one of Asia’s “biggest” visa facilities in Karachi

The UAE’s Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, opened a new visa centre in Karachi, Pakistan’s southern port city, on Sunday, according to Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The inaugural ceremony of the new “modernised” visa facility in Pakistan’s largest megacity and commercial hub was attended by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and UAE Consul-General in Karachi, Dr. Salem Al-Khaddeim Al-Dhanhani.

Several high-ranking Sindh government officials, businesspeople, and media representatives were also in attendance.

According to the WAM article, Al-Dhanhani praised the “strong historic links between the UAE and Pakistan from the era of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, the UAE’s founding father.”
