UAE’s Ras al khaimah is Home to the World’s Longest Zip Line

Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, holds the world record for building the longest zip line, stretching 2.83 km.

Positioned 1680 meters above sea level on Jebel Jais mountain, this zip line provides a thrilling experience at a speed of 150 km/h down the Middle East’s highest mountain peak.

HH Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi received the official Guinness World Records certificate from adjudicator Hoda Khachab, and he became the first person to try the zip line after certification.

Accommodating 100,000 thrill-seekers annually, the zip line has no age restrictions, requiring riders to be taller than 1.22 meters and weigh less than 150 kg.

The ride lasts around two to three minutes, offering a superman-like, headfirst descent.

Operating even in the summer due to the cooler mountain temperature, the zip line aims to attract more tourists to the UAE.
