Umar Akmal, a Pakistani cricketer, has left the country in the middle of the season to pursue chances outside the country by playing league cricket in the United States.
Akmal has signed a short-term contract with the Northern California Cricket Association but is exploring a long-term commitment, according to reports.
He is currently playing for California Zalmi in the Premier C league’s current season.
Umar Akmal has returned to cricket after serving a ban for violating the PCB’s anti-corruption rule, according to certain sources.
Although the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) aided Akmal in his recovery, his selection in domestic cricket was put on hold.
