Noor ul Haq Qadri, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, announced on Sunday that restrictions on Pakistani Umrah pilgrims will be abolished in the next two to three weeks.
COVID-related limitations are dropping globally, according to the ministry, and limits for Umrah pilgrims will be eased soon. He was speaking at the opening of a new facility for Hajj pilgrims at Haji Camp phase 7 in Peshawar. The Minister denied that any increased sum in terms of Hajj and Umrah are being received from pilgrims, additional expenses however, are due to increased flight fares.
Saudi Arabia has authorized travelers who have received two doses of the Sinovac and Sinopharm vaccinations to enter the country on the condition that they take an additional dosage of one of the four approved vaccines.
He claimed that the new pilgrims’ facility will make it easier for them to gather under one roof. “In addition to teaching Hajj pilgrims’ courses and classes, the facility will also provide document verification and COVID vaccine all under one roof,” he stated.
