The university is hiring for multiple positions, including:
1. Professor (BPS-21)
Departments:
- Economics
- Commerce and Management Sciences
- Tourism and Hotel Management
- Zoology
Eligibility Criteria:
- Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university.
- 15 years of postgraduate-level teaching or research experience in an HEC-recognized institution or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 15 research publications, with a minimum of 5 publications in the last 5 years in HEC-recognized journals.
2. Associate Professor (BPS-20)
Departments:
- Islamic Studies and Religious Affairs
- Economics
- Commerce and Management Sciences
- Tourism and Hotel Management
- Sociology (Anthropology)
- Law
Eligibility Criteria:
- Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university.
- 10 years of postgraduate-level teaching or research experience in an HEC-recognized institution or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 10 research publications, with a minimum of 4 publications in the last 5 years in HEC-recognized journals.
3. Assistant Professor (BPS-19)
Departments:
- Law
- Sociology
- Zoology
Eligibility Criteria:
- Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university.
- For candidates with an LLM or equivalent degree, 6 years of teaching or research experience is required.
- Candidates with an LLB (First Class) must have 4 years of teaching or research experience.
Application Process and Fee Details
- Candidates must apply through the online job portal on the University of Malakand’s official website.
- Application fees:
- Professor & Associate Professor: Rs. 11,000 (Processing fee Rs. 5,000 + Publication evaluation fee Rs. 6,000)
- Assistant Professor: Rs. 5,000 (Non-refundable)
- The application fee must be deposited in the National Bank of Pakistan, University of Malakand account (PK84NBPA1990003066927027).
Submission of Documents
- Applicants for Professor and Associate Professor positions must upload all research publications in a single PDF file and submit four hard copies for evaluation.
- For Tourism and Hotel Management, if graduates in this field are unavailable, candidates with degrees in Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing, or Archaeology will be considered.
Important Deadlines
- Last date for online application: March 26, 2025
- After online submission, candidates must send the original bank deposit slip, a printed copy of the application, attested documents, and two recent passport-size photographs to the Meetings Section, Office of the Registrar by April 11, 2025.
Additional Terms and Conditions
- Government/Semi-Government employees must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
- Foreign degree holders must provide an equivalency certificate from HEC or IBCC.
- The university follows the CP Fund policy of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for fresh inductions.
- Applicants for the Assistant Professor position must appear in a screening test conducted by ETEA.
- The age limit for applicants is between 18 to 45 years.
- No TA/DA will be provided for tests or interviews.
- The university reserves the right to increase, decrease, or cancel any position without prior notice.
