Approval was given to increase gas prices for consumers across the country.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has approved a price hike for Sui Southern and Sui Northern.
OGRA has approved an average increase of 50 percent in gas prices for Sui Northern and an average of 45 percent for Sui Southern.
Gas price for Sui Southern will be increased by Rs 417.23 per mmBtu and for Sui Northern by Rs 415 per mmBtu.
According to OGRA, the increase in gas prices will be effective from July 1, 2023, while the final decision regarding prices will be taken by the federal government.
The recent increase in gas prices by OGRA will come into effect from July 1, 2023, while the final decision on the increase in gas price will be taken by the federal government.
According to the law, the final decision regarding the increase in gas prices has to be taken within 45 days, during which if the federal government does not take any decision, then the prices will automatically come into effect.
