IThe Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced fully funded PhD scholarships for Pakistani students seeking admission to top 100 universities in the United States under the US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor initiative.
The program aims to provide talented scholars with the opportunity to pursue doctoral studies at globally ranked institutions, particularly those placed among the top 100 in international university rankings. The initiative is part of HEC’s broader strategy to enhance Pakistan’s research capacity and strengthen academic collaboration with leading global institutions.
Under the scholarship, selected candidates will receive comprehensive financial support. Students admitted to universities ranked among the top 50 will be eligible for full tuition coverage, while those admitted to institutions ranked between 51 and 100 will receive tuition support of up to $12,000 per year. In addition, scholars will receive a monthly living stipend and health insurance for the duration of their studies.
Applicants must meet HEC’s eligibility criteria, including a strong academic background and relevant qualifications for PhD admission. Candidates are required to secure admission in a qualifying US university before applying for the scholarship. The deadline for submission of applications is 30 April 2026.
The scholarship initiative underscores HEC’s commitment to promoting advanced research, academic excellence, and international exposure for Pakistani scholars, with the long-term goal of contributing to national development through highly qualified human capital.
