By July 2021, all USC business processes, including supply chain, warehousing, financials, human resources, payroll, and E-commerce will be automated, as well as 4,881 retail stores, 124 warehouses, 64 regional offices, and 9 zonal offices. This will be one of Pakistan’s biggest digital transformation projects, with a vast network of operational locations.
According to a statement, USC will undergo a complete technology upgrade to ensure quick, accountable, and hassle-free customer services using sophisticated technologies and automated processes, in line with Prime Minister of Pakistan’s vision of Digital Pakistan.
Purchasing operation can become a systematic process once the enterprise resource planning system is implemented, allowing for the monitoring of situations resulting from inventory overstocking or understocking.
The entire inventory will be under control, and USC will be able to estimate the number of products necessary, eliminating both product shortages and overstocking. With the help of digitization, USC will be able to launch a targeted subsidy programme for the vulnerable, ensuring that it reaches deserving people.
The Utility Stores Corporation of Pakistan (USC) signed a digitization agreement with the National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) and Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) on Tuesday.
