Victory! Pakistan Beats Zimbabwe by 69 Runs in Tri-Nation Series in Rawalpindi

Pakistan delivered a commanding performance to defeat Zimbabwe by 69 runs in the fourth match of the T20I Tri-Nation Series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday. This convincing victory secured Pakistan’s place in the tournament final scheduled for November 29.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Pakistan posted an impressive total of 195 runs for 5 wickets in their 20 overs. Opener Sahibzada Farhan played a fluent knock of 63 off 41 balls, providing early momentum with clean stroke play.

Captain Babar Azam anchored the innings beautifully with a steady 74 off 52 deliveries, keeping the innings stable while rotating the strike effectively. Sahibzada Farhan and Babar Azam put together a crucial 103-run partnership for the second wicket.

The real fireworks came from Fakhar Zaman, whose explosive 27 off just 10 balls, featuring three towering sixes, powered Pakistan to a near-200 total. Zimbabwe’s bowlers struggled in the death overs, with Brad Evans proving expensive.

Chasing 196, Zimbabwe collapsed badly and were bowled out for just 126 in 19 overs. Mystery spinner Usman Tariq produced a spell for the ages, claiming a hat-trick and stunning figures of 4 for 18.

The Rawalpindi crowd erupted as the unorthodox spinner became only the fourth Pakistani to take a T20I hat-trick. Pakistan has confidently moved ahead in the Tri-Nation Series, demonstrating its commitment to fight for the title in the upcoming final.
