Waseem Badami Requests Prayers as He Suffers from Dengue and Sinusitis

Pakistani TV host and journalist Waseem Badami is currently unwell, as he is battling dengue fever along with sinusitis.

The popular news anchor shared his health update on social media, posting a picture of his hand with a cannula attached. In his post, he mentioned that he is suffering from a high fever and swelling on his face due to sinusitis. Waseem also requested his followers and well-wishers to pray for his quick recovery.

His illness comes at a time when dengue cases are increasing across Pakistan. Health officials have reported a noticeable rise in the number of patients in different cities. They are advising citizens to take preventive measures to avoid the spread of the mosquito-borne disease.

Experts recommend removing stagnant water from homes and streets, as it is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. People are also being urged to use mosquito repellents, wear long-sleeved clothing, and install protective nets or screens to reduce the risk of being bitten.

Sinusitis, which Waseem is also suffering from, is an inflammation of the sinuses that can cause pain, swelling, and breathing difficulties. The combination of both illnesses can be particularly uncomfortable and requires proper medical care and rest.

Although many people are currently hospitalized or recovering at home from dengue, no dengue-related deaths have been reported in Pakistan so far in 2025.

Fans and colleagues continue to send prayers and messages of support for Waseem Badami, hoping to see him back on screen in good health soon.
