President Asif Ali Zardari has once again expressed Pakistan’s strong commitment to its close partnership with China.
Speaking in an interview with Chinese broadcaster CGTN, he described Pakistan and China as “iron-clad brothers” who stand together in both good and difficult times.
During the interview, President Zardari praised China’s Global Governance Initiative, noting that such efforts are important for promoting cooperation, peace and development in today’s world.
He underlined that nations should focus more on building economic ties rather than relying on military approaches to solve challenges.
Highlighting Pakistan’s economic future, the President called the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) 2.0 a key project that could transform the country’s infrastructure and economy.
He explained that this new phase of CPEC would focus on industrial development, energy projects and modern connectivity which will bring long-term benefits to both nations.
President Zardari also drew attention to the need for peace and stability in Balochistan, stating that the region holds immense potential for growth. He emphasized that securing the area and creating a safe environment for development will allow CPEC 2.0 to reach its full promise.
Looking ahead, he said that future generations of both Pakistan and China will benefit from the strong friendship and economic cooperation between the two countries.
He expressed confidence that joint efforts will not only strengthen ties but also create opportunities for prosperity and progress in the entire region.
