“We Will Reward Integrity and Punish Misconduct, the Era of Impunity is Over,” CM KP Sohail Afridi

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister is sending a clear message to government officials: play by the rules or face the consequences.

CM Sohail Afridi has declared that his administration will actively reward integrity while firmly punishing misconduct, marking what he calls the end of an era where officials could act without facing accountability.

In a strong statement that’s getting attention across the province, Afridi emphasized his government’s commitment to two core principles: accountability and transparency.

These aren’t just empty buzzwords for him, he’s making it clear that every government official, regardless of their position or connections, will be held to the same standards of conduct and ethical behavior.

The Chief Minister’s most striking declaration was that “the era of impunity is over.” For years, many citizens have felt frustrated watching officials engage in corrupt practices without facing real consequences.

Afridi is promising that those days are finished. His government has pledged to take strict action against any officials caught involved in malpractice, abuse of authority, or misuse of their positions for personal gain.

But it’s not all about punishment. Afridi also emphasized the positive side of his policy, rewarding those who demonstrate integrity and honest service.

This carrot-and-stick approach aims to create a culture where doing the right thing is recognized and celebrated, while wrongdoing is swiftly addressed.

Whether this bold stance translates into real change remains to be seen. Still, the Chief Minister’s message is unmistakable, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government officials are being put on notice that accountability is no longer optional.
