WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is introducing a new update that will allow users to share their screens during video calls. This means that users will be able to show their screens to the person they are talking to, and the feature is currently being tested by some beta users before being made available to more people in the coming days.
To use this feature, users will need to click on a new icon in the call control view, and their screen will be recorded and shared with the other person. It’s important to note that older versions of Android may not support this feature, and it will not work in large group calls or with outdated versions of the app.
Users will have full control over screen sharing and can stop it at any time. It’s also worth mentioning that this feature will only be activated with the user’s consent.
Additionally, there may be some minor changes to the navigation bar at the bottom of the app, with the order of tabs being rearranged for some users to show Chats, Calls, Communities, and Status.
