Hokkaido Beach is the amazing Japanese beach of San’in Kaigan Geopark that is currently trending on Instagram due to its unusual combination of sun, sand, sea, and SNOW!!!
Not only is the beach and the ocean waters lapping on it immaculate, but this unusual beach also has another claim to fame: snow!
Few people have ever seen a meeting of snow, sand, and sea, and Instagram users who have seen the photo are rightly impressed.
At the time of writing, this lovely image had received over 1.24 million likes. And, yes, it appears to be a clash of two biomes in Minecraft!
The general consensus is that this strange but insanely beautiful phenomenon is an iconic photograph whose time has come! This image has also gone viral on YouTube, Reddit, and other social media platforms.
People are also wondering if this photo is real or a clever piece of photoshopping. After all, how did the lone man in the image get to that narrow sand strip – on skis?
But I can assure you that Hokkaido Beach in Japan is real.
You’d think that such a beautiful Hokkaido Beach would be overrun, but this photograph captures a secluded part of one of Japan’s most beautiful natural areas. Hokkaido Beach is distinct from the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido.
Hokkaido Beach is only a small part of the incredible coastline in the San’in Kaigan UNESCO Global Geopark.
This stunningly beautiful global park is located in western Japan, with the Japanese Sea lapping at its shores.
Its unusual shoreline stretches from Kyoto’s Kyogamisaki Cape in the east to Tottori’s Hakuto Kaigan Coast in the west.
Despite the fact that Japan has the most snow on the planet, there are few places where the snow beach phenomenon can be seen or visited.
There are primarily along this stretch of coastline stretching westward to Tottori Beach.
Photographer Hisa did an amazing job bringing this little-known but stunning beach to the world’s attention, and it has everyone talking about what an amazing place Japan is once again.
I’m confident that this image will not only grow in popularity, but will also attract thousands more tourists to one of the most fascinating countries on the planet.
