Winter Gas Schedule Announced for Punjab and KP

The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has released a new winter gas supply schedule for domestic consumers in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, outlining fixed timings during which households will receive gas throughout the peak winter months. The schedule will remain in effect from December through February, a period when gas demand typically rises sharply due to lower temperatures.

According to SNGPL officials, gas will be supplied to residential areas three times a day. The morning window will run from 5:30am to 8:30am, the midday window from 11:30am to 1:30pm, and the evening window from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. The company urged families to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner during these specified hours to avoid inconvenience.

Officials explained that the revised schedule has been introduced to manage the high seasonal demand and ensure that households receive gas during the most essential parts of the day. They added that despite increased usage, there is sufficient gas available in the system to support the planned supply pattern.

SNGPL further confirmed that no load-shedding will be implemented for the industrial sector under the new plan. Industries will continue to receive uninterrupted gas to maintain production levels, which officials said is important for economic stability during the winter months.

The new schedule is aimed at ensuring fair distribution, reducing pressure on the system, and helping families plan their daily routines more efficiently as temperatures continue to drop.
