Woman Celebrates Her 90th Birthday by Skydiving from 14,000 Feet

A special lady named Marg Burg turned 90 years old in an amazing way. She always wanted to go skydiving, so for her big birthday, she made her dream come true. She went skydiving at Skydive Buckeye to celebrate.

Marg got the idea from a former President named George H. W. Bush. He went skydiving when he turned 90, so she thought, “If he can do it, I can do it too.” Even though she never thought she’d reach 90, here she is, ready to jump from the sky.

Her family, even a great-grandchild, came from Nashville to be there on her special day. After getting everything ready, Marg was really excited. She slept well the night before and wasn’t nervous. She signed papers and learned about safety, then got all set up to jump from a plane that went really high, 14,000 feet!

The best part was when she jumped out of the plane and freefell for about a minute. She loved the feeling—it was like flying. A skydiving expert made sure her parachute opened safely, and she floated down for five minutes.

When she landed on the ground again, Marg had a huge smile on her face. She said it was “awesome.” Looking back on her adventure, she shared some good advice: “Do what you want to do while you can still do it.”
