‘Women’s PSL will be held in February’ PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja Announces

A big initiative taken by PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja regarding Women’s cricket will be very Beneficial for Women’s cricket. Women’s PSL will be held in February, whereas, Pakistan Junior League to be held in October. The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ramiz Raja announced this on Monday.

Ramiz further briefed the committee regarding the assets of the board and claimed that PCB does not receive a penny from the government. “We take pride in the fact that the PCB generates all of its own revenue, with the ICC serving as the board’s largest financial backer. Whereas, the reserves of the PCB are at their highest now,” Ramiz stated.

Women’s PSL to begin with 4 Teams.

The eighth edition of the PSL will take place in 2023 and so will the inaugural edition of women’s PSL. “Each PSL franchise received PKR 610 million after the last edition of the league,” Ramiz Raja stated.

Other details including team names and squads will be finalized at the later date. Women’s PSL will certainly provide a big boost to Pakistan’s women’s cricket and encourage more girls to take up the sport
