After facing a five-day outage, the microblogging platform, which was previously known as Twitter but is now referred to as ‘X,’ has finally been restored by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). This decision came after the Sindh High Court instructed the PTA to fully restore access to the social media platform ‘X’ across the entire country.
Since the night of February 17, Twitter’s services in Pakistan had been experiencing intermittent disruptions, causing inconvenience to users. Although there was a temporary restoration on February 20, the platform continued to face interruptions shortly afterward, leaving users frustrated.
However, with the recent order from the Sindh High Court, the PTA took action to comply and fully restore access to the platform nationwide. This decision brings relief to users who rely on ‘X’ for communication, information, and networking.
