‘Yaum-e-Taqaddus-e-Quran’: PM Shehbaz Asks Nation to Protest Against Desecration of Holy Quran ion Sweden

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for peaceful demonstrations after Friday prayers to show their anger regarding the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden. This statement comes as the nation observes Quran Sanctity Day to protest against the disrespectful treatment of the holy book.

The Prime Minister highlighted the strong resentment within the Muslim community and emphasized the unity of the nation in protecting the sanctity of the Quran. He reiterated the significance of the Quran as a guiding principle in people’s lives.

Individuals from different backgrounds will participate in these protests to express their dissatisfaction with the desecration. The Prime Minister also addressed the Parliament, urging Islamic countries to strongly raise their voices against such incidents at international platforms, including the United Nations.

He intends to contact the UN Secretary-General to convene a meeting where representatives from all Islamic countries can express the sentiments of the Muslim community. The Parliament has passed a resolution condemning these acts and proposing measures to prevent disrespect towards divine books and holy figures.
