Younis Khan, the former captain who led Pakistan to victory in the first T20 World Cup in 2009, expressed confidence in Pakistan’s ability to secure a place in the top four teams in the upcoming ICC World Cup in India.
In a press conference in Karachi, Khan highlighted the team’s talented players who have the potential to win matches. He stated, “I believe Pakistan will reach the top four in the World Cup because we have players who can win matches on any given day.” He emphasized the importance of strong planning for each game and the team’s strength in having good fast bowlers.
Khan, who is one of Pakistan’s most successful batsmen, holds the record for being the only Pakistani player to score more than 10,000 runs in Test cricket.
