“Zangnan is our Territory’, China gives a Clear Response to India

China has once again claimed that Arunachal Pradesh, which it calls “Zangnan,” is part of its own territory. According to Chinese officials, this area is part of what they refer to as South Tibet.

The Chinese government recently released new names for more than 20 places in this region, saying these names follow their country’s rules and history.

This action has caused more tension between China and India. The Indian government considers Arunachal Pradesh a part of India and has rejected China’s claims many times before. Still, China’s Foreign Ministry insists that the area has always belonged to China. They argue that Arunachal Pradesh was under Chinese control until 1987, when they say India took it over illegally.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said that giving Chinese names to places in the area is a normal part of their internal governance. They also say that doing this shows China’s strong presence and control in the region.

India, on the other hand, has made it clear that Arunachal Pradesh is an important and inseparable part of its territory. Indian officials say that simply changing names does not change the reality on the ground.

This ongoing disagreement between the two countries is part of a larger territorial dispute that has been going on for decades. As both countries continue to build roads and military posts near the border, the situation remains tense and uncertain.
