RUSH LAKE is located in Nagar Valley of Gilgit-Baltistan, at an altitude of 15,400 feet. With its home in Gilgit-Nagar Baltistan’s Valley, it is also the world’s 25th highest lake by elevation.
Rush Lake is Pakistan’s highest lake, rising higher than 15,000 feet over the sea level.
Trekking through the Nagar and Hopar valleys or trekking across the Hopar Glacier (also known as Bualtar Glacier) and Miar Glacier are the only ways to get to this lake.
However, despite the rough terrain, the views are breathtaking. From the tops of the neighboring mountain ranges of Spantik or Golden Peak, etc Spantik or Golden Peak, is the highest point in the vicinity. You may enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Katora Lake:
