24-hour Passport Facility Launched in Karachi

Karachi residents can now benefit from a 24-hour passport processing service at newly established counters at NADRA Mega Centers in Nazimabad and the Siemens Chowrangi area.

This initiative, led by Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi, aims to reduce long waiting times for passport applicants, providing round-the-clock services to citizens.

The new service comes as part of a nationwide effort to improve the efficiency of passport issuance. The Interior Minister emphasized that this move would significantly ease the process for Karachi’s residents, ensuring timely access to passport services. The service has been designed to cater to both urgent and regular passport requests without any delays.

Director General of Immigration and Passports, Mustafa Jamal Qazi, confirmed that similar 24-hour passport processing services are already in place in Islamabad, Awami Markaz in Karachi, and Lahore’s Garden Town office. These measures aim to make passport issuance quicker and more convenient for citizens across Pakistan.

Minister Naqvi assured the public that the backlog in passport applications had been fully cleared. He also shared plans to expand the 24-hour passport facility to several other cities across the country, including setting up more passport counters within the next week.

With these advancements, the government is focusing on providing seamless services for the public, making it easier than ever to obtain passports and national identity cards.

This step forward demonstrates the government’s commitment to enhancing service delivery and ensuring convenience for all Pakistani citizens.
