5 Out of 7 Pakistani Athletes Eliminated from Paris Olympics

Pakistan’s hopes for the Paris Olympics are fading as two more athletes have been eliminated from the competition.

Sprinter Faiqa Riaz finished sixth in her 100-meter heat with a time of 12.49 seconds, which was not fast enough to qualify for the final round. Similarly, Kasmala Talat, who competed in the 25-meter air pistol event, finished 22nd out of 40 shooters and did not make it to the finals.

With these recent exits, only two Pakistani athletes remain in the competition: shooter Ghulam Bashir and javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem. Earlier in the games, two swimmers and shooter Gulfam Joseph were also eliminated, further diminishing Pakistan’s chances of winning medals.

The national team has faced tough competition and challenging circumstances throughout the event. The performance of the athletes has been disappointing, as many have been unable to advance past the preliminary rounds.

Faiqa Riaz and Kasmala Talat gave their best efforts but faced stiff competition from athletes from other countries. Despite their hard work and dedication, they were unable to secure a spot in the finals. This has been a trend for the Pakistani team, as the athletes have struggled to keep up with their international counterparts.

As the games progress, the focus now shifts to Ghulam Bashir and Arshad Nadeem, who are the remaining hopes for Pakistan. Their performance will be closely watched by fans and supporters, who are hoping for a turnaround in the country’s fortunes at the Olympics.

The overall performance of the national team has been a reflection of the challenges faced by Pakistani athletes on the international stage. Limited resources, lack of training facilities, and inadequate support are some of the issues that have impacted their performance.

Despite these setbacks, the athletes have shown great resilience and determination. Their participation in the Olympics itself is a significant achievement, and their efforts are commendable.

As the competition continues, Pakistan remains hopeful for a strong finish from Ghulam Bashir and Arshad Nadeem. The nation’s fans are eagerly waiting to see if they can bring home medals and make the country proud.
