Recently, a video of an old man has gone viral on the internet where he shared his story of struggling to live in a time of inflation. Abdul Rasheed, a 58 Years old man with only 6th-grade education is earning money on the streets of Karachi, where he dressed up as a spider-man and entertains the kids passing by on the roads.
Abdul Rasheed stated that he walked far from his house and come to a specific location near Aga Khan Hospital, Karachi where many people with kids saw him as a spider-man and helps him while giving money. Rasheed has worked in many luxury hotels but due to the pandemic, his life went upside down where his pay decrease made him helpless to do any other work.
Rasheed faced hardship and got heavily in debt. He took more than 1 lac as a loan from his relatives and neighbors and is unable to pay it back. Due to this, he purchased a spider-man costume which again was not of his own money, he took money from his friend and purchased it.
Rasheed has a big family but all live in Mansehra; however, he comes to Karachi frequently and had not seen his family for the last one and half years. He lost his wife a few years back but supports his family on his own apart from several hardships.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Rasheed has gone into huge debt; however, he is worried to pay back his loan and financially support his kids to pay their college fees. Rasheed is no less than a hero of our society who at this age did not give up and is working really hard to survive in this hard time.
