On Wednesday, the Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications, Syed Aminul Haque, announced that 5G will be introduced in Pakistan in December next year.
He said this while addressing the contract signing ceremony in the districts of Upper Dir, Chitral and Lower Dir for broadband projects.
Furthermore, the IT minister said that the broadband project in the districts of Upper Dir, Chitral and Lower Dir would be completed at a cost of Rs1.3 billion, adding that the government is also taking steps in North Waziristan to address internet problems.
“The IT ministry is taking the necessary measures to ensure that broadband services are available at all tourist locations across the country,” he added.
