93 Railway Officer to Visit China for Buying 230 “Bogies”

When Pakistan Railways (PR) is facing a shortfall of more than Rs45 billion, 93 officers of the department would visit China in different groups.

They would be visiting from 9th August in order to examine 230 bogies worth $149 million being imported from the neighboring country.

The employees, including the ones who are retiring next year would get $100 on daily basis as their travel allowance.

Officials who are visiting China would provide the consultancy in the design of bogies, as per Abdul Haseeb, Chief Mechanical Engineer Carriages.

Whereas, travel comfort for the passengers in the design of bogies would have the special attention.

However, he further stated that to maintain the standards training would also be given to the employees.

Haseeb said that it would be great that technology from China will also become a part of Pakistan.
