Sharjah-based Beeah has partnered with Chinook Hydrogen and Air Water Gas Solutions to develop the world’s first commercial-scale waste-to-hydrogen plant in the UAE.
The joint development agreement (JDA) builds on the success of Beeah’s waste-to-hydrogen demonstration plant, which transforms organic-based waste into green hydrogen.
The demonstration plant utilises Chinook Hydrogen’s RODECS pyrolysis technology and Air Water Gas Solutions’ advanced hydrogen refinement technology.
The waste-to-hydrogen plant aligns with the UAE’s Net-Zero by 2050 Pathway and the National Hydrogen Strategy 2050.
Beeah aims to achieve total landfill waste diversion in Sharjah through such initiatives.
