The State Bank of Pakistan reported that the rupee concluded at 281.86 against the US dollar, reflecting a rise of Rs0.07 compared to the previous rate in the inter-bank market.
The Pakistani rupee’s closure at 281.86 against the US dollar denotes a 19.7% depreciation from its starting value of 226.43 in the inter-bank market for the year 2023, highlighting a significant decline in its value over the course of the year.
On the preceding Thursday, the Pakistani rupee saw a slight increase, concluding at 281.93 in comparison to the US dollar in the inter-bank market, signifying a marginal gain in its value during that particular trading session.
