The Sindh Education and Literacy Department has once again revised school timings, responding to the prevailing cold weather conditions. Initially set at 8 am, the timing was adjusted to 8:30 am last week.
However, with a further decrease in temperatures, schools will now commence at 9 am. This modification will remain in effect until January 31, as per the department’s notification. It’s worth noting that schools in Karachi will maintain their opening time at 8:30 am.
In a related development, the Interim Punjab Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, made a significant announcement regarding the end of the winter vacation for schools.
Starting January 10, students will return to their educational institutions. However, there is a change in the usual schedule. From January 10 to January 22, schools will begin at 9:30 am. The chief minister emphasized the importance of wearing jackets and warm clothing during this period due to the ongoing winter wave.
