A technology firm based in Qatar has developed an innovative solution to the common frustration of forgetting to charge one’s mobile phone. Known as Swapery, this device boasts the capability to fully recharge a mobile phone in an astonishingly short duration of seven seconds.
The mechanism involves lightweight battery packs that can be easily attached to the back of the phone using magnets and connected to the charging port on the phone’s underside.
The Swapery device is designed to streamline the charging process. Users simply insert their phones into the Swapery, which then autonomously removes the depleted battery and replaces it with a fully charged one.
The convenience factor is further emphasized by the device’s ability to hold up to five charged battery packs simultaneously. This feature is particularly advantageous for families, ensuring that multiple devices can be swiftly charged in succession.
With an anticipated cost of around £180, the Swapery is slated for release in the UK later this year. Ali Salah, the creator of Swapery, highlights the device’s potential to alleviate the common issue of smartphones running out of battery quickly and the forgetfulness associated with charging them.
According to Salah, Swapery provides a hassle-free alternative, eliminating the need to remember to charge phones before bedtime or contend with the inconveniences of charging cables. In essence, Swapery seeks to redefine the charging experience, offering a quick and efficient solution to the perennial problem of smartphone battery life.
